The RoleWorking in the area in which you were hired, you will: - Provide high quality, evidence-based nursing care to patients with complex and often rapidly changing conditions
- Collaborate closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, pharmacists, therapists, and fellow RNs in a highly interdisciplinary environment
- Practice at the top of your license in Adult and Procedural Acute Care settings that balance high acuity with strong team support
- Contribute to shared governance, quality improvement initiatives, and evidence-based practice within your unit
What an average day looks likeYour day may include caring for
medically complex adult patients, supporting patients before and after procedures, coordinating care across disciplines, mentoring peers, and contributing to a fast paced clinical environment where teamwork and clinical judgment matter. The work is challenging, meaningful, and grounded in a culture that values professional nursing practice.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program required. Bachelor of Science in Nursing required within 5 years of hire.
Experience: 1 year of relevant experience.
Licensure: Licensed to Practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia. American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Job requires standing for prolonged periods, frequently traveling, bending/stooping. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull 20 - 50lbs. May be exposed to chemicals, blood/body fluids and infectious disease.
The pay range for this role is $39.90 - $53.00 hourly. Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education.
