Qualifications

• Active RN registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Current BCLS certification or proven competency
• Recent experience in Medical and/or Surgical settings (minimum 2 years preferred)
• Coronary Care I certification or actively pursuing it is a plus
• Willingness to complete Coronary Care II within 12 months is preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage diverse stakeholders
• Excellent physical assessment and patient/family teaching abilities
• Demonstrated critical thinking skills for effective priority setting
• Ability to collaborate in a team-oriented environment
• Record of excellent attendance and discipline-free conduct
• Understanding of equity, diversity, and inclusion in healthcare practices is an asset

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing duties across all Medical and Surgical Inpatient Units
• Be available for all rotating shifts, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends
• Provide comprehensive patient care and support to diverse patient populations
• Conduct thorough patient assessments and document findings accurately
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to promote best practices in patient care
• Educate patients and families about health management and treatment plans
• Participate in ongoing training, including specialty areas as needed
