THE POSITION
The Registered Nurse position at Norristown State Hospital offers a meaningful chance to support patients who rely on your care. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
Registered Nurses at Norristown State Hospital play a key role in assessing needs and delivering high quality care for individuals receiving treatment. They support patients through careful monitoring, teamwork, and clinical decision making. As a Registered Nurse, you will perform the following duties:

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
  • Full-time employment.
  • Work hours are 2nd shift, 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, with a 30 minute lunch.
    • Rotating schedule, work weekends and holidays as assigned
    • Overtime as needed

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS
Necessary Special Requirements:
  • This position requires active authorization to practice as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania.
  • All employees possessing an active temporary practice permit must obtain licensure as a Registered Nurse within the one (1) year period defined by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.

Other Requirements:
  • PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
  • If you are within 60 days of graduating from a school of nursing approved by the State Board of Nursing, you are eligible to apply for this job posting. At the time of appointment to a position, you must show proof of possession of a current, valid PA temporary practice permit or PA Registered Nurse license.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
