Job Summary
Reporting to the Radiology Nurse Supervisor, the Radiology Staff Nurse will provide quality-nursing care to both in and out patients in the department or radiology including pediatric, adult, elderly, acutely and chronically ill/patients. The Radiology Nurse must be prepared to handle all unexpected emergencies that occur during any radiological procedure. The nurse ensures patient privacy, dignity, and safety.
Minimum Qualifications
- Education
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
- Experience
- 3 to 5 years of nursing experience required.
- Critical care experience required.
- Licensure and/or Certification
- Current license as a professional nurse inMassachusetts required.
- BLS healthcare provider required.
- ACLS required.
- PALS required.
- Skills
- Has knowledge of all areas of nursing practice.
- Demonstrates mature judgment, initiative, and proficiency in nursing skills.
- Is able to work without direct supervision.
- Shows professional interest through self-development, continuing education, and involvement in professional organizations.
- Is knowledgeable in physical assessment, aseptic techniques, IV skills, and universal precautions.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English.
- Computer skills required.
- Ability to maintain confidential information.
