Join Our Internal Travel RN Team - St. Vincent Hospital, Billings

Intermountain Health's iFlex Internal Travel Agency is now hiring for a Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery to support St. Vincent Hospital in Billings, Montana, along with additional facilities across our expanded multi-state enterprise. As a key member of the internal travel team, you will provide exceptional maternal and newborn care through systemwide assignments designed to support high-priority staffing needs.

About the iFlex RN Role: Labor & Delivery

As an iFlex RN, you'll support Labor & Delivery units across Intermountain Health's growing enterprise, which now spans Utah, Colorado, Montana, and Idaho. iFlex caregivers fill high-demand shifts during peak staffing needs, offering expert, compassionate care to mothers and newborns across diverse clinical environments.

iFlex RNs must be willing to float within their assigned campus and travel as needed throughout Intermountain Health locations.

Key Responsibilities:

Minimum Qualifications:
  • 2 years of recent hospital RN experience
  • Current RN license in the state of practice
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification for Healthcare Providers
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution


Compensation and Benefits:
  • Competitive compensation aligned with internal travel market standards
  • $68-$75/hour flat rate, based on specialty and location (adjusted quarterly)
  • Consistent pay rate per assignment, reviewed quarterly
  • Pro-rated monthly housing reimbursement for assignments located more than 50 miles from home
  • Self-secured housing during each assignment


Posting Specifics:

Shift Details: Variable shifts
Schedule: Full-time hours during each 3-month assignment; 2-3 assignments per year required
Pay Rate:$68-$75/hour flat rate, dependent on location and specialty

Travel Requirements:
  • Expected to work shifts at St. Vincent Hospital and other assigned Intermountain facilities
  • Must be willing to float across units within each facility
  • Travel required across Utah, Colorado, Montana, and Idaho to support enterprise-wide staffing needs
  • All iFlex caregivers must maintain readiness to travel throughout the Intermountain Health system

Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies.- and -Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency situations.- and -Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care, accessing needed information, medication preparation, etc.- and -Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients. Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment. Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items.- and -Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment. This includes pushing/pulling gurneys and portable equipment, including heavy items. Often required to navigate crowded and busy rooms (full of equipment, power cords on the floor, etc).- and -May be expected to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time.
