Location: The main office is out of Milledgeville, GA and all canidates must be willing to travel to our group homes, at the most, up to a 1 hour commute from the main office, as needed. Travel reimbursment is included.
Employment Type: Full-time
Compensation: $80,000+ (based on experience and credentials)
Incentives: No sign-on bonus is available. No relocation packaged offered.
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm and occasional, on call, phone triage rotation support will be required.
**This is an office-based position that supports our group home operations and requires routine visits to our residential homes. It is ideal for nurses seeking a more structured and steady-paced environment outside of traditional fast-paced hospital or SNF settings. Candidates with prior IDD and case management experience are strongly encouraged to apply.**Job Responsibilities- Provide holistic nursing care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
- Assist the Registered Nurse in delivering quality nursing services to persons supported
- Provide health related training to unlicensed personnel
- Administer medications and treatments or assist the person supported with medication administration
- Assist with ensuring preventative and routine medical appointments are scheduled
- Conduct medication closest assessments
- Collect health related data
- Observe for and report any abnormal health related findings to the physician
- Communicate with physicians, pharmacies, medical suppliers, and the Interdisciplinary Team
- Advocate for the people supported and assist with developing community supports to promote optimal health for the people supported
Requirements- Graduation from an accredited licensed nurse program
- Current nursing license with no restrictions to practice nursing.
- Current CPR Certification or eligibility to obtain certification
- Must be able to communicate effectively with Interdisciplinary Team Members, as well as the people supported and their families
- Must be able to work independently, be organized, and possess the ability to prioritize work tasks
