Job Description: - Collaborates and promotes timely patient placement by following hospital policy for patient admission, discharge, and transfer.
- Collects comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health/situation and unit-specific data for process improvement initiatives.
- Develops, individualizes, and prioritizes the patient's plan of care in collaboration with the patient, family, and health team members.
- Implements identified plans for patients and unit-specific process improvement with appropriate nursing interventions and physician orders in an accurate, timely manner.
- Considers factors related to safety, effectiveness, cost, and impact on practice in the delivery of nursing services.
Schedule: Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: - The Float Pool RN will display proficient clinical skills and critical thinking skills with strong communication skills. [Required]
- Mental and emotional stability, demonstrating a courteous and calm approach to all contacts with patients, visitors, and health care team members. [Required]
- Ability to learn and apply computer-related applications and programs, including using electronic keyboards and other peripheral devices. [Required]
- Critical thinking/problem-solving skills. [Required]
- Must have the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care that addresses the physical, psychosocial, educational, safety, and age-appropriate needs of the patient population served within the department. [Required]
- Basic computer skills. [Required]
- Excellent human relations and oral/written communication skills. [Required]
- Previous experience with electronic medical record systems preferred.
- Previous EKG Interpretation Class preferred.
Education: - Associate's of Nursing [Required]
- Bachelor's of Nursing [Preferred]
Work Experience: - 1+ recent and relevant experience [Required]
- 2+ Critical care experience [Preferred]
Licenses and Certifications: - Registered Nurse (RN) [Required]
- BLS, ACLS & NIHSS Required]
Pay Range:$33.08 - $58.04
