What You'll Do- Deliver comprehensive, patient-centered nursing care using the nursing process
- Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and modify individualized care plans based on patient needs
- Administer medications safely and promptly report and address medication concerns
- Educate patients and families throughout the continuum of care, including discharge planning
- Communicate effectively with physicians and the healthcare team using SBAR communication
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation within the electronic medical record
- Promote patient safety through infection prevention, HIPAA compliance, and adherence to hospital policies
- Advocate for patients and families while supporting dignity, compassion, and evidence-based practice
- Support patient throughput by facilitating timely admissions, transfers, and discharges
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, regulatory compliance activities, and patient safety programs
- Cross-train within assigned clinical areas to support operational and patient care needs
What You'll Bring- Minimum of one (1) year of recent Registered Nurse experience, preferably in an acute care setting
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and patient advocacy skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple patient care responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to delivering compassionate, high-quality, patient-centered care
- Dedication to continuous learning, professional growth, and evidence-based practice
Requirements- Current California RN license
- ADN required; BSN preferred
- AHA BLS certification
- AHA ACLS certification
- AHA PALS certification
- CNOR
- Annual Nursing Care Stroke Education within 30 days of employment
- Ability to obtain LA City Fire Card within 30 days of employment
