Registered Nurse (RN) - Clinical Educator, Operating Room

What You'll Do

  • Assess, develop, and manage clinical competencies for OR nursing and support staff
  • Design and deliver education programs aligned with best practices and organizational goals
  • Serve as a clinical expert and resource for perioperative staff
  • Support orientation, onboarding, and ongoing development of new hires and nurse residents
  • Partner with leadership to evaluate staff performance and learning needs
  • Drive quality improvement initiatives and incorporate data into education strategies
  • Promote adherence to clinical standards, policies, and regulatory requirements
  • Support patient care delivery through education, coaching, and mentorship
  • Participate in research and performance improvement efforts
  • Serve as a role model in clinical practice, professionalism, and patient advocacy


What You Bring

  • 3+ years of acute care experience in Operating Room or perioperative services
  • Strong background in clinical education, training, or staff development
  • Advanced clinical knowledge and ability to mentor and influence staff
  • Experience with quality improvement and performance initiatives
  • Strong communication, leadership, and facilitation skills


Requirements

  • Current California RN license
  • BSN required; Master's degree preferred
  • AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications
  • Ability to obtain LA City Fire Card within 30 days


Preferred

  • ANCC certification in specialty area
