Hiring Range

$38.60 - $53.08/Hourly Actual pay is determined based on job-related factors such as relevant experience, education, credentials, skills, internal equity, and business needs.

Full Time Flexible Hours

Works under the direction of the Director of Nursing. Evaluates, plans, implements, and executes resident care and directs all activities in order to provide quality service. Assists in the supervision of the nursing team. Develops preliminary and comprehensive assessment of the nursing needs of each resident with MDS process and care plans. Assures documentation is compliant with regulatory requirements. Assists with QA activities and Employee Health functions.

What you will do

  • Oversees Admissions and Quarterly assessments of residents. Reviews recertification orders regularly with appropriate team members.
  • Participates in the "at risk" and care planning meetings. Makes appropriate recommendations regarding resident care.
  • Supports Occupational Health by administering Hepatitis B vaccine and PPD to employees. Coordinates with Occ Health as needed. Reviews REPORTS for trends or issues and works closely with Occ Health and nursing administration to resolve issues.
  • Assists with direct patient care as necessary. Allows resident choices within limits of capability considering safety /dignity issues and follows policies and procedures of facility to include resident privacy and dignity. Utilizes Interact process to assure proper documentation and follow through.
  • Develops, implements and evaluates resident care plans. Makes rounds when coming on and consults with nursing management regarding resident issues or concerns. Focuses on prevention, intervention and evaluation of wound management (pressure sores, etc.).
  • Oversees restorative nursing program and ensures therapy supplies are available as requested by Rehab department.
  • Works with DON/Nurse Manager on boarding, orientation, staffing and supervision of the nursing staff.

  • Registered Nurse (RN) - Virginia Department of Health Professions (VDHP) Upon Hire(Required)
  • CPR/BLS Certification - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC) within 30 Days(Required)
