The base salary will be $67,680 - $96,590 per annum. Starting salary will be aligned with the successful candidate's experience, skills, and demonstrated qualifications.

ResponsibilitiesThe Registered Dietitian will support the mission of Housing & Ancillary Services by applying the science of food, nutrition and environmental sustainability to the areas of menu development and promotion, nutrition education, allergen risk management, food safety, food insecurity, workplace wellness and food policy development. The Registered Dietitian will develop and oversee Hospitality Services vision and goals towards campus well-being related to food and nutrition. The Registered Dietitian will collaborate in the development, implementation and evaluation of well-balanced, nutritionally-sound, allergen-friendly menus that meet the needs of Western's diverse campus community. The Registered Dietitian provides nutrition guidance to individuals and groups and provides nutrition support to all students on the meal plan through email, virtual or in-person consultations, as needed. The Registered Dietitian will oversee the department's vision and goals related to allergens and food intolerances and will develop campus-wide nutrition workshops and communications.
QualificationsEducation:
- Undergraduate Degree in Food and Nutrition or Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Nutrition (or equivalent), with recognized internship from accredited facility
- Membership in the College of Dietitians of Ontario
Experience:
- 3 years' experience in nutrition, dietetics or related field in a healthcare, foodservice or educational setting
- Experience in program development, implementation and evaluation preferred

- Ability to provide strategic analysis and recommendations for designing and implementing new and changing strategies and processes
- Project management skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously from conception to completion within tightly prescribed timelines
- Communication skills with an ability to complete detailed analytics and reports
