Full Job Description
Position Summary

This position is responsible for the implementation and maintenance of the agency-wide food and nutrition programs. The Registered Dietitian plans menus for standard and modified diets, evaluates food service programs against budgetary and service standards, and provides support to food service staff state-wide. The Registered Dietitian will provide education to Food Service and Health Care staff as needed.

Salary Information

This position is in pay schedule and range 11-03 with a starting pay of $66102 to $96636. Pay will be set in accordance with the Compensation Plan and Wisconsin Administrative Code in effect at the time of hire. A twelve-month probationary period is required.

Qualifications

Minimally qualified applicants will have experience:
  • Consulting on modified diets such as: religious meal practices, allergies, etc.
  • Providing oversight and guidance between Food Service Operations and interfaces with information technology systems such as patient/client records or inventory and recipe software.
  • Utilizing menu planning techniques and quantity recipe standardization.
  • Using management software such as: Computrition, food/nutritional software, and/or an Electronic Health Record.
  • Utilizing Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, etc.) or similar products
SPECIAL REQUIREMENT:
  • Registration or eligibility for registration with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics-US.
  • Certification or eligibility for certification as a "certified dietitian" in the State of Wisconsin as provided under WI Statutes 448.70 through 448.94.
  • ServSafe Manager Certification required.
