Key Responsibilities- Perform dental prophylaxis, periodontal maintenance, and scaling/root planing
- Conduct comprehensive periodontal charting and assessments
- Take digital radiographs and intraoral photos as needed
- Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques, treatment needs, and preventive care
- Review and update patient medical histories
- Collaborate with dentists and clinical staff to ensure seamless patient care
- Maintain sterilization and infection-control protocols in accordance with OSHA and CDC
- guidelines
- Document all treatment notes accurately and efficiently in the practice management software
Required Qualifications- Active Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license in the state of Texas
- Current CPR certification
- Strong communication and patient-education skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of clinical care and professionalism
Preferred Qualifications- Experience with digital charting and dental software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Open Dental)
- Ideal Certifications: Coronal Polishing, EFDA, N2O, Radiology, and Local Anesthesia
- Experience working in a general dentistry practice (1+ years is required)
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
