Regional Vice President of Operations

Reports to: Regional President

Position Overview

As a key executive leader in a rapidly expanding commercial roofing organization, the Regional Vice President of Operations provides strategic leadership, drives operational excellence, scalability, and cross functional coordination across multiple business units. This role demands a proactive, results-oriented leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can lead through influence, innovation, and collaboration.

Core Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic oversight and coaching to Directors of Operations and field teams to ensure consistent planning, execution, and project close-out in alignment with labor budgets, schedules, and safety benchmarks.
  • Champion operational strategies that support aggressive regional expansion, ensuring scalability and consistency across all locations.
  • Drive high-performance execution across safety, scheduling, quality, and workforce development, aligning with company growth targets.
  • Mentor Directors of Operations and field leaders to elevate planning, execution, and project close-out practices in line with evolving business needs.
  • Strategically allocate labor, equipment, and materials across sites to maximize efficiency and meet aggressive project timelines.
  • Act as the primary escalation point for field challenges, delays, and technical issues, resolving them swiftly to maintain momentum.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement. Identify and develop emerging leaders to support future growth.
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external clients, ensuring alignment, transparency, and satisfaction.
  • Implement and refine operational standards, leveraging technology and best practices to drive consistency and innovation.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to translate company goals into actionable regional strategies and performance metrics.

Qualifications
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in commercial roofing or construction, with proven success in multi-site or regional leadership roles.
  • Expertise in commercial roofing systems (single-ply, asphalt, hot/cold applied, metal); federal/government project experience is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred; PMP certification is advantageous.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to lead through influence in a matrixed environment.
  • Proficiency in Procore or similar project management platforms.
  • High adaptability and comfort with ambiguity in a fast-growth setting.

Additional Requirements
  • Willingness to travel regionally up to 80%.
  • Ability to work in both office and field environments; occasional lifting up to 30 lbs.
