Regional Sales Director, PNH, Mid-Atlantic

This is what you will do:

The Regional Sales Director (RSD), PNH position is within our Hematology and Nephrology Franchise and responsible for sales performance and goal attainment for assigned region.

This individual will lead a team and coach Account Managers toward effective implementation of the Alexion sales/marketing disease, diagnostic and branded education awareness programs. This individual will maintain effective communication and relationships with key external and internal customers.

You will be responsible for:

Achieving or exceeding sales objectives and portfolio balance in region

Attracting, engaging, coaching, and developing a high performing team of Account Managers in achieving or exceeding their territory sales objectives

Conducting regular field visits and business reviews with AMs, as well as customer visits to ensure that proper programs and messages are being utilized and commitments are followed through

Providing feedback (verbal, field coaching reports, etc.) following customer and field visits that address and support both business development and career development needs of the AM

Developing Regional-level Business plans that accommodate market opportunities, accelerating sales performance to achieve or exceed goals

Leading AMs in the development of Strategic Business Plans with marketing, promotional resources, ensure proper implementation through Regional Empowerment

Creating, building, and maintaining relationships and regular communication with physicians and key thought leaders

Leading AM Team to develop new accounts and expand existing accounts

Ensuring a high level of expertise and service is delivered to all customers

Ensuring the team effectively partners and collaborate with all internal stakeholders on critical accounts

Regular input on the U.S. Brand Strategy for portfolio

Conducting regular business reviews with direct manager to ensure attainment of corporate sales objectives, alignment of goals, and personal development plans of employee and staff

Acting with integrity, in compliance with laws, internal policies and Code of Ethics and Business Conduct; is a role model to the team

You will need to have:

Degree in life science and/or business/marketing

Proven, documented track record for delivering consistent, 'Top-tier' sales results

Minimum 10 years Pharmaceutical or Equivalent Experience (e.g., Biotech or Medical Device); sales experience in the orphan or ultra-orphan area preferred

Minimum 5 years Biotechnology/Pharmaceutical sales leadership experience

Ability to work effectively independently and in an interdependent, team-oriented environment on a consistent basis

Ability to gain consistent access & develop strong, professional relationships for scientific exchange and promotion with healthcare providers in community and academic centers

Effective administrator who efficiently manages time, CRM tool, resources, and workload

Effective verbal and written communication skills and organizational abilities

Must live within close proximity to the region and have the ability to travel regularly within it, including frequent overnight and weekend travel

The duties of this role are generally conducted in a field environment. We would prefer for you to have:

Advanced or master's degree ideal

Bio/pharma; Hematology and/or Oncology experience

The annual base pay for this position ranges from $185,906 - $278,859. Our positions offer eligibility for various incentives-an opportunity to receive short-term incentive bonuses, equity-based awards for salaried roles and commissions for sales roles. Benefits offered include qualified retirement programs, paid time off (i.e., vacation, holiday, and leaves), as well as health, dental, and vision coverage in accordance with the terms of the applicable plans.
