POSITION SUMMARY

The Regional Sales Director, RSD, will be responsible for leading a regional sales team with a span of control of approximately 10 to 13 team members, including Territory Managers and 1 Institutional Account Manager. The RSD will be accountable for achieving regional sales results and executing against key business objectives that support the continued growth and appropriate utilization of YCANTH and any potential future indications or company products.

The RSD will be responsible for delivering sales objectives and key productivity metrics for the region, as established by the VP of Sales. This individual will recruit, select, train, coach, and develop sales professionals to achieve high performance through ongoing field coaching, performance management, and leadership development.

The RSD will be expected to work cross functionally across the organization with key stakeholders in Sales Leadership, Marketing, Market Access, Commercial Operations, Training, Medical, Compliance, Patient Services, and Institutional Sales. The RSD will play an important role in ensuring strong execution, alignment, and communication across all commercial functions.

In carrying out the responsibilities of the position, the RSD will be responsible for conducting in person field visits with Territory Managers and the Institutional Account Manager, as well as engaging targeted healthcare providers and healthcare organizations as appropriate. Customer targets may include Dermatologists, Pediatric Dermatologists, Pediatricians, advanced practice providers, institutional accounts, and other key stakeholders identified by the VP of Sales.

The RSD may also be required to assist with or perform other duties within the company as directed from time to time.

The Regional Sales Director will be required to live within and travel extensively throughout the assigned geography:
• East Coast Region : Must reside near a major airport in the states of Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Sales Leadership and Business Execution
  • Achieve regional sales goals and execute against established performance metrics.
  • Lead the regional team in driving appropriate utilization and growth of YCANTH.
  • Develop and execute regional business plans aligned with national sales strategy.
  • Translate national priorities into clear regional direction, expectations, and field execution.
  • Monitor and manage regional performance against sales goals, reach, frequency, call quality, message impact, account development, and other key productivity metrics.
  • Identify regional opportunities, performance gaps, and barriers to execution, and develop clear action plans to address them.
  • Manage regional sales budgets and resources in alignment with company expectations.

People Leadership and Talent Development
  • Recruit, select, hire, train, coach, and develop Territory Managers and the Institutional Account Manager.
  • Establish a high accountability, performance-based culture grounded in ethical behavior, compliance, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct consistent field rides and coaching days to assess sales competency, execution, message delivery, business planning, and customer engagement.
  • Provide clear, timely, and actionable verbal and written feedback to support ongoing capability development.
  • Hold team members accountable to performance expectations, business plans, activity standards, and company policies.
  • Create an inclusive environment that fosters teamwork, learning, development, and success.
  • Identify and develop high potential talent within the region.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's Degree required, ideally in: Business or related fields to marketing, MBA preferred but not required.
  • 5 Years of front-line management experience
  • Substantial and relevant sales experience in the life sciences/biopharmaceutical space is required.
  • Successful experience leading sales teams in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Of importance, is demonstrated successful experience in launching new brands in the medical Dermatology space.
  • The delivery of sales results, development of customer relationships, experience and success in working across sales, market access and channel teams.
  • High agility in working in a fast-paced start up environment and the ability to adapt to business challenges as they arise.
  • Experience working in buy and bill and or specialty pharmacy a plus.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to sit for extended periods of time at a desk. Normal requirements for office operations with respect to lifting, standing and walking. The position will require frequent travel during routine responsibilities
