Position SummaryManages and oversees safety compliance, training, accident reporting, and investigations for an assigned region.
Major Tasks and Responsibilities- Tracks and manages the completion of safety compliance training.
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams to prevent workplace injuries.
- Oversees the formation and development of safety committees in the terminals.
- Coaches and trains employees in safety procedures.
- Audits facilities to validate if corrections, return inspections, and repairs are completed.
- Directs and implements processes and procedures to eliminate workplace injuries.
- Manages the direction regarding the proper handling and management of accidents and hazardous material incidents.
- Identifies accidents as preventable or nonpreventable.
Preferred Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in business, risk management, or a related field.
- 5+ years of safety experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of the Department of Transportation, Occupational Safety and Health Administration, and Resource Conservation and Recovery Act regulations.
- Certified Safety Professional certification.
- Ability to travel as needed.
