  • Support management of transitional return-to-work programs for injured workers.
  • Assist with OSHA compliance issues including inspections and citations.
  • Review leading safety indicators for additional training needs.

Full Job Description
Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Performs field safety audits and makes recommendations for corrective actions as needed.
  • Performs safety orientations for new hires as needed.
  • Oversees random drug screening program.
  • Manages company's comprehensive drug and alcohol program.
  • Performs and/or assists with accident/injury/incident investigations to determine cause and possible prevent measures for future work of a similar nature.
  • Assists with all OSHA related issues such as inspections, citations, hearings, etc. Performs field safety audits to ensure compliance with all OSHA, State, Local, and Company safety rules and regulations.
  • Makes recommendations to management concerning disciplinary actions when safety violations occur.
  • Reviews leading safety indicators for potential problem areas where additional safety training may be required.
  • Assists with management of the transitional return to work program for injured workers.
  • Attend safety related seminars, meetings, forums, etc.
  • Assists or conducts all safety related training.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Knowledge of Windows based software (Excel, Word) and any e-mail system. Detail oriented.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Capable of handling confidential information.
  • Able to perform climbing (extreme heights), crawling, heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) and must not be claustrophobic.

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.

Special Requirements:
  • Valid Driver License
