This role offers significant scope, throughput, and operational reach for a commercially minded professional with strong vendor management capabilities. A Unique Transition Opportunity We are proactively planning for the future of this facility. The current incumbent is scheduled to retire in 2027. Recognizing the criticality of this role, we have designed a comprehensive transition period for the incoming leader. You will be responsible for ensuring the Mississauga terminal operates efficiently by holding our third-party contractor accountable for performance and results. You will not direct or supervise the contractor's staff directly; rather, you will utilize data-driven insights and relationship management skills to ensure contractual obligations, service standards, and operational KPIs are consistently met. This role balances high-level operational monitoring with broader leadership in customer service, supplier management, and business development. Key Responsibilities Contract Oversight & Performance: 3 Monitor and evaluate the third-party contractor's adherence to established Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and operational KPIs. Performance Reporting: 3 Analyze facility throughput, financial performance, revenue, and costs; present findings to executive leadership and hold the contractor accountable for variances. Strategic Collaboration: 3 Partner with the third-party provider to identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency and profitability. Relationship Management: 3 Maintain a collaborative but rigorous working relationship with the contractor to address service failures, resolve exceptions, and enforce administrative policies without direct personnel intervention. Customer & Sales Integration: 3 Act as the operational face for key accounts; address customer service issues by coordinating solutions with the third-party provider and partner with internal sales teams to support business development. Compliance: 3 Ensure the contractor operates in accordance with service standards and applicable legislation, escalating issues through the proper contractual channels with necessary. Qualifications Required Qualifications Vendor/Contract Management: 3 Proven experience in managing third-party logistics (3PL) relationships, vendor contracts, or large-scale service level agreements. Analytical Rigor: 3 A data-driven approach to performance management with the ability to interpret operational metrics and hold external partners accountable for outcomes. Strategic Presence: 3 The confidence to lead through complexity and influence outcomes through negotiation and contract management rather than direct supervision. Communication Skills: 3 Exemplary interpersonal ability, with the diplomatic skill to maintain strong working partnerships while ensuring firm adherence to company standards. Business Acumen: 3 A disciplined approach to cost control, problem-solving, and continuous improvement within an outsourced operational environment. Additional Information Why Join Us? This role demands a leader who is highly organized and comfortable working across a wide range of both internal and external stakeholders. In return, we offer an industry-leading compensation package and a career opportunity to lead the performance oversight of one of our most significant facilities, supported by an extended, collaborative transition period. If you are a driven leader ready to make a significant impact in a high-growth environment, we invite you to apply.
