Description:

The Regional Physical Inventory Manager is responsible for overseeing and maintaining accurate inventory across all key operational areas, including hub locations, retail stores, and distribution centers. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the integrity of inventory records, driving process improvements, leading physical inventory events, and enforcing inventory control policies and procedures to optimize supply chain performance and reduce shrink.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Inventory Strategy & Oversight

    • Design and lead network-wide inventory management strategies across DCs, stores, and hubs.
    • Own and manage the annual physical inventory calendar, including planning, execution, and reconciliation.
    • Tracking inventory performance and ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
  • Leadership & Team Management

    • Direct and develop a team of inventory specialists and site level inventory leads.
    • Provide strategic guidance and training for inventory best practices across locations.
    • Collaborate with senior leadership to align inventory initiatives with overall business goals.
  • Process Optimization & Controls

    • Create, implement, and enforce standardized inventory control policies, SOPs, and audit processes.
    • Identify root causes of inventory discrepancies and lead resolution plans to prevent recurrence.
    • Oversee inventory reconciliation across all business segments.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration

    • Partner with Finance, Logistics, Store Operations, IT, and Merchandising to ensure data integrity and operational alignment.
    • Serve as the business lead on inventory system upgrades or implementations (ERP, WMS, etc.).
    • Act as the point of contact for internal and external audits related to inventory practices.
  • Data & Reporting

    • Lead the development and analysis of inventory related reports and dashboards
    • Present findings, trends, and risks to executive stakeholders with actionable recommendations.


Requirements:

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in inventory management, with at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role overseeing multi-site inventory.
  • Proven success managing large-scale physical inventories and implementing inventory control systems.
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Expertise in ERP and WMS systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Manhattan, NetSuite).
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and leadership capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; adept at working cross-functionally and influencing without direct authority.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% for inventory support and site leadership.
