Regional Manager (Northeast, United States)

The opportunity

The Regional Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing group operations across assigned regions, including safety, operational standards, maintenance, and supply chain activities. This role leads the development and implementation of operational standards and best practices designed to enhance safety, sustainability, and overall efficiency. The position plays a key role in supporting TCR's regional growth by contributing to new operational start-ups and ensuring consistent execution of company standards across locations. Working closely with the Operations Director and the workshop managers in the region, the Regional Operations Manager drives operational excellence through strong leadership, effective team management, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, while ensuring alignment with organizational goals and long-term strategic objectives.

  • Safety standards and a zero-harm culture are consistently implemented across assigned operations, with teams actively following best practices and addressing risks proactively.

  • Workshops meet or exceed key operational metrics, including preventative maintenance compliance, productivity, equipment availability, and reliability.


  • Workshop managers and teams are effectively coached, supported, and developed to deliver consistent performance, strong employee engagement, and operational accountability.


  • Fleet and asset management practices are standardized across the region, supported by accurate system data and compliance with TCR and OEM maintenance standards.


  • Customer relationships, service level agreements, budgets, and efficiency initiatives are managed proactively to support regional growth and alignment with TCR North America's strategy.


A snapshot of what you will be doing here:

Safety:

  • Active implementation and roll-out of safety culture (zero-harm) in operations.


Operations:

  • Ensure that key metrics are met for all workshops under management: preventative maintenance compliance, productivity, availability, reliability of equipment


  • Lead, coach and development workshop managers and workshop teams


  • Support the workshop managers in recruitment, employee relations, etc.


  • Lead the start-up of new operations in their assigned region


  • Support the training of workshop employees


  • Work with regional staff to improve training, process improvement and implementation, etc.


Fleet and Asset Management:

  • Ensure compliance with TCR and OEM maintenance standards.


  • Ensure best-in-class operational asset management.


  • Implementation, use and data accuracy of TCR's fleet management systems.


Commercial:

  • Develop and maintain positive operational relationships with customers.


  • Implement a pro-active platform for operational customer communication.


  • Management of Service Level Agreements.


Finance:

  • P&L responsibility and budgeting of the respective sites/workshops.


  • Drive and implement efficiency improvement initiatives.


Strategy:

  • Support, define and implement the TCR North America strategy in line with the group strategy.


Who we are looking for someone who:
  • Demonstrated experience in operational roles within a maintenance organization or similar industry.

  • Multi-site experience preferred


  • Proficiency in ERP systems, with SAP experience being an advantage.


  • A results-oriented and proactive approach, complemented by a dynamic personality.


  • Capable of working autonomously and taking initiative.


  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.


  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken.


  • Leadership abilities, including team facilitation, vision communication, delegation, change management, conflict resolution, and direction.


  • Ambition to expand personal responsibilities and the development of the team in a fast-paced, international setting.
  • Ability to travel within assigned region up to 50%.
