Role Summary

In partnership with management, the Regional Investment Consultant will foster a sales and relationship building strategy for the firm. She or he will be accountable for sales and revenue generation and/or client relationship management for business partnerships that are often global. You will use your industry knowledge and proactively research trends, competitor services and offerings, and our client's business environment. She or he will lead all aspects of client partnerships, ensuring satisfaction, a swift response to client needs, a high level of transparency, efficient problem resolution, contract and operational compliance, and risk mitigation. You will be an advisor to clients on how we can satisfy their needs as well as generate account growth. You will offer mentorship and guidance to less senior professionals' in the areas of compliance with sales policies and programs as well as achieving team goals.

Responsibilities

  • We sell our products and services to clients whose business has a significant impact on the financial performance the Broker Dealer teams' goals. You will apply your understanding of clients' business to serve as an advisor on multiple product offerings ranging across the enterprise. You will own new business development to strategic, high-profile prospects. She or he will identify and qualify prospects, develop a “trusted advisor” relationship, and influence them to adopt recommended and outstanding solutions. We assess and evaluate strategic prospects, then develop and execute a plan for capitalizing on those opportunities, with a focus on long-term, sustained growth. We provide an environment that will allow you to have an in-depth knowledge of assigned clients, their sensitivities, and their business needs to efficiently influence their decision-making. Coordinates sales opportunities for assigned clients across T. Rowe Price as necessary.
  • We are thoughtful in idea generation and driving development of effective messaging and tactics to optimally promote the organization to senior client contacts. She or he will make recommendation on how to approach the delivery of requests for proposal in their assigned territory. You will contribute to the overall relationship management strategy and delegate tasks to ensure successful client relationship performance. She or he will retain direct client management responsibility for key strategic, high profile clients.
  • Coordinating with the global team, bringing together business units to deliver tailored presentations based on custom needs. She or he develops new leads with large, complex clients and pitches new opportunities.
  • Being a guide for standard methodologies, new regulatory requirements, industry trends, and competitor services/offerings throughout the firm. Partnering with business leaders you will bring an understanding of primary sales issues and gaps in order to develop strategies to improve performance. Establishing a technical approach to analytical work within sales and relationship management and analyzing highly complex data, trends, plan changes, and strategies to keep up to date with sales/relationship performance. She or he will tap into their expertise to interpret and apply highly complex key performance indicators in advising clients. Using significant influence, guiding client decision making on matters of high importance and significant financial risk.
  • Serving as chief negotiator and sales consultant to the most complex and key clients within their territory. Developing new approaches and materials to facilitate improved activity to be rolled out across the business unit and potentially the enterprise.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience AND
  • 10+ years of total relevant work experience
  • FINRA series 7 and 66 licenses

Preferred:

  • Strong relationships with Wires, Independents, and Regional Broker Dealers
  • Working knowledge of Broker/Dealer product platforms
  • CFA, CFP, CIMA, or MBA

FINRA Requirements

FINRA licenses are required and will be supported for this role.

Work Flexibility

This role is eligible for full time remote work.

Base Salary Ranges

$144,000.00 - $261,000.00 for the location of: Maryland, Colorado, Washington and remote workers
$144,000.00 - $261,000.00 for the location of: Washington, D.C.
$144,000.00 - $261,000.00 for the location of: New York, California

Placement within the range provided above is based on the individual’s relevant experience and skills for the role.  Base salary is only one component of our total compensation package.  Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, which is determined upon company and individual performance.
