Job Summary**
The Regional Industrial Engineer Manager will lead and develop the industrial engineering function across Jabil's US growth sites, focusing on large factor assembly operations. This role is crucial for driving operational excellence, optimizing manufacturing processes, and ensuring efficient production scaling to meet business growth demands.
Job Responsibilities**
* Lead and manage a team of Industrial Engineers across multiple US-based large factor assembly sites.
* Develop, implement, and standardize best practices in industrial engineering methodologies, including lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and value stream mapping.
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize production layouts, material flow, workstation design, and assembly processes.
* Establish and maintain engineering standards for production lines, including cycle times, labor standards, and capacity planning.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and design engineering to ensure efficient new product introductions and ramp-ups.
* Identify and implement automation and advanced manufacturing technologies to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
* Conduct root cause analysis for production inefficiencies and implement corrective actions.
* Develop and manage capital expenditure requests related to industrial engineering projects.
* Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior industrial engineers.
* Report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to operational efficiency, productivity, and cost reduction.
Job Qualifications**
* Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
* Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in industrial engineering within a large-scale manufacturing environment, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership or management role.
* Proven experience in large factor assembly operations is essential.
* Strong understanding and practical application of Lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies (Green Belt or Black Belt certification preferred), and continuous improvement tools.
* Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a team of engineers across multiple locations.
* Proficiency in process mapping, time studies, capacity planning, and facility layout design.
* Experience with automation and robotics in manufacturing is highly desirable.
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
* Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
* Ability to travel up to 75% to various US-based manufacturing sites.
