About the Role:
As a CBRE Regional Facilities Manager, you will oversee a substantial portfolio of healthcare facilities across California. This critical role involves managing facilities maintenance services across multiple hospitals and clinics, ensuring operational excellence, safety, and compliance. A successful candidate will lead a team of Facilities Managers, drive project execution, and manage a significant operational budget. This is a hybrid position requiring extensive travel throughout the region, with the flexibility to work remotely when not on-site.

This job is a part of the Facilities Management functional area which focuses on all aspects of the operations of a set of assets, providing support to the Property Managers regarding all repairs and investment plans.
What You'll Do:
  • Provide regional oversight for a diverse portfolio of hospitals and clinics across Northern, Central, and Southern California.
  • Lead and mentor a team of 4 direct reports, providing guidance, setting performance goals, and tracking KPIs to ensure operational consistency.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the client, maintaining strong professional relationships and ensuring all service delivery aligns with client expectations and contractual obligations.
  • Manage and forecast the regional operational budget, ensuring fiscal responsibility and identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency.
  • Utilize advanced data analysis techniques and software tools to track facility performance, interpret trends, and implement process improvements that enhance overall portfolio health.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and reporting to monitor team performance and facility uptime.
  • Oversee comprehensive project management initiatives, including equipment change-outs, facility remodels, and strategic relocations.
  • Ensure all projects are executed on time, within budget, and in full compliance with healthcare facility safety standards.
  • Travel is required throughout the region. You will visit major sites (hospitals) at least once per quarter, with additional site visits dictated by operational need.
  • Maintain positive client relationships and conduct meetings on unresolved facility issues.
  • Prepare and manage capital projects and variance reports.
  • Perform facility inspections quality assurance following local, state, and federal regulations. Suggest operational efficiencies, repairs, and upgrade opportunities.
  • Manage environmental health and safety procedures for facilities.
  • Oversee vendor relationships and invoicing procedures. Review price quotes for the procurement of parts, services, and labor for projects.
  • Conduct process and procedure training on maintenance, repairs, and safety best practices.
  • Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Influence parties of shared interests to reach an agreement.
  • Apply knowledge of own discipline and how own discipline integrates with others to achieve team and departmental objectives.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve day-to-day and moderately complex issues which may or may not be evident in existing systems and processes.
What You'll Need:
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred with 5 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Valid driver's license required. Facility Management certification preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage large, multi-site portfolios.
  • Strong leadership capabilities with experience managing remote or dispersed teams.
  • Ability and willingness to travel extensively throughout California.
  • Experience in the areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention preferred.
  • Ability to guide the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations and handle problems.
  • Leadership skills to motivate team impact on quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of the job discipline and department.
  • Extensive organizational skills with a strong inquisitive mindset.
  • Advanced math skills. Ability to calculate difficult figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate's education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Regional Facilities Manager position is $150,000 annually [or $72.12 per hour] and the maximum salary for the Regional Facilities Manager position is $165,000 annually [or $79.33 per hour]. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE's applicable benefit program.
