Salary: $98,342.00

Language Requirement:
  • Fluent in English


Academic Requirement:
  • Master's degree from an accredited college or university in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or in other relevant behavioral science field in which clinical training and experience is a program requirement; Must be licensed in the state in which they reside.


Certifications:
  • Licensure in social work, counseling, or a related field


Work experience:
  • Required - At least ten (10) years of progressive employment experience in the aforementioned fields, must have prior supervisory experience, and be licensed to provide clinical supervision. Knowledge of local community social services, experience working with immigrant populations, family preservation, kinship care, and/or general child welfare preferred.


Critical Action Items & Measurable Deliverables:
  • Update and implement program policies and procedures to promote best practices.
  • Implement sound operational strategies aligned with agency practice.
  • Complete all notification and reporting requirements in accordance with state and federal contract and regulatory standards and requirements.
  • Hire, train, supervise, review actions of, and effectively communicate with program personnel assigned to this position.
  • Conduct periodic case reviews to ensure that assessments and recommendations meet standard child welfare practices and program guidelines.
  • Analyze the nature, severity, and frequency of security risks to the national team.
  • Effectively communicate with federal, program, and state/federal staff and legal representatives for services population.
  • Monitor program data and report on activities and recommendations for stakeholders.
  • Organize and participate in local and regional meetings with community entities in the region to address current and future issues affecting the program operations.
  • Participate in service expansion planning, budget preparations, and long and short-term planning for the program.
  • Maintain confidentiality in all areas of child and program operations.
  • Maintain Compass Connections' professional and ethical standards of conduct outlined in Compass Connections' employee handbook, including demonstrating respect for agency staff, clients, and community members, and complying with the required dress code at all times.


Other Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate organizational, programmatic, and financial elements of the services provided to the service population to ensure each child's physical, social, emotional, educational, and recreational needs are met.
  • Develop and implement an organizational management structure that promotes industry best practices, facilitates optimum delivery of services, and ensures the safety and well-being of the service population and staff at multiple sites and locations.
  • Work a flexible schedule, including availability on nights, holidays, and weekends.
  • Meet all agency policies and procedures, federal and state contractual and regulatory guidelines, and standards that are applicable to this position.
  • Develop and oversee clinical trainings for Post Release Home Study Programs, including but not limited totrauma informed care, vicarious trauma, benefits of self-care, domestic violence, understanding betrayal bonds, working with vulnerable children, identifying mental health concerns when in the home, and how to interview children who have experienced trauma.
  • Oversee and manage the submission of NOC/ SIR, in addition to staffing crisis cases for at-risk youth.
  • Identify trends as it relates to the UC population through data collection of NOC/SIR.
  • Create systematic protocol, assessment forms, and training on Crisis intervention.
  • Develop partnerships within the mental health community. Oversee the hiring of the Associate Regional Director, Specialized Services, and Specialized Case Management Specialist.
  • Create strategies for continued growth and manage Specialized Services (clinical) program development.


Requirements:
  • Pass a pre-employment drug screen and random drug screens throughout employment.
  • Provide proof of work eligibility status upon request.
  • Pass a pre-employment and biennial criminal background checks.
  • Demonstrate skills in providing effective, hands-on leadership.
  • Demonstrate the ability to:
  • Work effectively with Compass Connections leadership, Compass Connections Executive Director, state licensing representatives, and funding source entities.
  • Respond sensitively and competently to the service population's cultural and socio-economic characteristics.
  • Communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment and maintain emotional control and professional composure at all times.
  • Organize and prioritize responsibilities and duties efficiently.
  • Maintain computer literacy required to meet the responsibilities of the position.
  • Work effectively and without intensive supervision both independently and as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of all Compass Connections policies and procedures, as well as any relevant regulations, guidelines, and standards.
