We are looking for a Mining Director, Energy & Resources to help implement our strategic plan for the region, and to support the management of the operations in Abitibi. The candidate will have the opportunity to take part in the development of this fast-growing market and will be a key player in maintaining relationships with numerous customers with strong potential for growth, both for the local team and for CIMA+ as a whole.

Primary Responsibilities :
  • Participate in personnel management of the Abitibi region.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of the strategic plan for the region.
  • Monitor local business opportunities, liaising with the firm's various stakeholders as required.
  • Participate in business development strategies and activities with customers in the region.
  • Actively participate in the follow-up of the firm's projects with our local clients, to ensure that our mandates are delivered in accordance with the company's values and to the complete satisfaction of our clients.
  • Maintain business relations with existing clients and develop business relations with new clients.
  • Participate and represent CIMA+ in the city's business and socio-economic development activities.
  • In addition to business operations duties, project management including production of deliverables (reports, design, plans and specifications, expertise).


Qualifications
  • University degree or college diploma in mechanical, industrial, electrical or civil engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum 10 years' relevant experience, experience with a consulting engineering firm an asset.
  • Knowledge of the mining and metals, or heavy industrial sector
  • Significant network of contacts in the mining and metals, or heavy industrial sectors.
  • Experience with P&L responsibilities.
  • Licenced Professional Engineer
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, strategic vision, business acumen.
  • Expertise in team management and mobilizing leadership.
  • Expertise in business development and operations management.
  • Proactivity, autonomy, and ability to work under pressure.
  • Recognized expertise in engineering project management and relevant experience in construction, planning and estimating.
