We are searching for a Regional Director who will provide vision and leadership to our Operation Christmas Child teams in the Carolinas Region. This position is based in Charlotte, North Carolina. As Regional Director, you will have the opportunity to lead staff in vision casting, strategic planning and evaluation to help maximize effectiveness. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to identify, cultivate, and develop volunteer leaders, (Area Coordinators), who will in turn establish volunteer teams to carry out the mission and vision of OCC in their own communities and churches. A day in the life of a Regional Director:

At Samaritans Purse, the Gospel really is the center of all we do! We start each day with a time of devotions and spend time praying for each other, our staff and volunteers who serve around the globe.

In the role of Regional Director, you will have the opportunity to:
  • Maintain your personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be an effective witness for Him
  • Lead staff to effectively develop strategic ministry plan
  • Develop, lead and support volunteer leaders (Area Coordinators)
  • Actively participate in High Impact Training, National Staff Meetings and Volunteer Connect Conference
  • Mentor and coach staff teams toward spiritual growth, unity and effectiveness in achieving team goals with high integrity
  • Provide administrative and logistical support as needed, assisting with data collection and event planning, particularly during peak season
  • Serve as the primary regional spokesperson for Operation Christmas Child to donors, volunteers and partners
  • Develop positive working relationships with Operation Christmas Child domestic managers and other departments within Samaritan's Purse
  • All other duties as assigned


Qualifications & Experience :
  • Clear calling and desire to serve in the ministry with Operation Christmas child
  • Demonstrated effective leadership among diverse teams and diverse teams and volunteers (at least 10 years experience preferred
  • Administrative with high attention to detail
  • Flexible attitude with team focus and desire to see others grown
  • Effective communication skills with an ability to address issues in a constructive and honest way
  • Successfully implement plans and ideas
  • Bachelors degree required
  • 12 credit hours of college-level Biblical Studies (required); if not already completed, opportunity to meet and complete requirement is available upon hire.
