Position/Role: Regional Director of Operations

Location: Buford, GA
Work Location: Ascent Hospitality Corporate Office / Assigned Hotel Portfolio

Schedule:Full-Time
Travel: Approximately 80% throughout assigned hotel portfolio
Pay Range: $100,000 - $130,000 annually
(Compensation is based on background, qualifications, and overall experience. We are open to negotiation and discussion for the right candidate.)
About the Role

Ascent Hospitality is seeking an experienced, strategic, and results-driven Regional Director of Operations to provide leadership and operational oversight across an assigned portfolio of hotels.

This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for a hospitality professional who understands that successful hotel operations are built through strong leadership, engaged teams, exceptional guest experiences, financial accountability, and consistent operational execution.

The Regional Director of Operations will work closely with General Managers, hotel leadership, and the corporate team to drive operational performance, maximize profitability, develop talent, and ensure each property consistently delivers on Ascent Hospitality's standards and business objectives.

What You Will Do
• Provide operational leadership and oversight for an assigned portfolio of hotels.
• Partner closely with General Managers to establish goals, monitor performance, and drive operational excellence.
• Coach, mentor, and develop General Managers and hotel leadership teams to strengthen performance and leadership capabilities.
• Monitor hotel financial performance, including revenue, labor, expenses, profitability, and budget performance.
• Analyze operational and financial reports to identify opportunities, challenges, and areas for improvement.
• Partner with Sales and Revenue teams to support revenue growth, occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, and overall hotel performance.
• Ensure hotels consistently meet company standards for guest service, cleanliness, maintenance, safety, and operational excellence.
• Conduct regular property visits, operational reviews, and performance meetings.
• Develop and implement action plans to address performance gaps and improve hotel results.
• Support annual budgeting, forecasting, business planning, and capital expenditure initiatives.
• Work with General Managers to identify staffing needs, strengthen retention, and build high-performing teams.
• Support talent development, succession planning, and internal promotion opportunities across the hotel portfolio.
• Partner with corporate departments including Operations, HR, Sales, Revenue Management, Finance, and Marketing.
• Assist with hotel openings, renovations, transitions, and other strategic operational initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, brand standards, safety requirements, and applicable regulations.
• Build strong relationships with hotel ownership, brand partners, vendors, community partners, and other key stakeholders.
• Lead by example and promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, hospitality, and continuous improvement.
• Travel regularly to assigned properties to provide leadership, coaching, and operational support.
What We Are Looking For
• 7-8+ years of progressive hotel operations leadership experience, with multi-property or regional experience strongly preferred.
• Previous experience as a General Manager, Area/Regional Director of Operations, or similar senior hotel leadership role.
• Strong understanding of full-service and/or select-service hotel operations.
• Demonstrated experience leading and developing General Managers and hotel leadership teams.
• Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, P&L performance, labor costs, forecasting, and operational expenses.
• Proven ability to identify operational challenges and develop effective action plans.
• Strong knowledge of guest service standards, hotel operations, brand compliance, and quality assurance.
• Excellent leadership, communication, coaching, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on operational support.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven business decisions.
• Experience working with major hotel brands and/or multi-property portfolios is preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
• Must be willing and able to travel approximately 50% throughout the assigned hotel portfolio.
