We are currently seeking a Full Time Regional Director of Nursing (DON) - Multi-site Leadership to join our team providing services located in South Carolina including the counties of Aiken, Anderson and Oconee.
About this position:
GENESYS Health Alliance is seeking an experienced Regional Director of Nursing (DON) to oversee clinical operations across multiple correctional healthcare facilities in South Carolina. This is a high-impact, multi-site leadership role responsible for ensuring quality patient care, regulatory compliance, and strong clinical teams across your assigned sites.
Education/Skills/Qualifications:
Required:
- Active RN license (multistate preferred or obtained within 30 days)
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Minimum 2 years of nursing leadership experience
- Correctional healthcare experience preferred
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- BLS certification (AED/First Aid)
- Ability to pass standard background checks and any correctional facility clearance requirements.
Preferred: (Not Required)
- Experience in correctional healthcare or multi-site healthcare
- Familiarity with prior authorizations and medication coordination
- Experience working with vendors or supply coordination
General Duties include but Not Limited To:
- Lead nursing operations across multiple facilities
- Supervise nursing leadership and clinical staff
- Ensure compliance with state, federal, and NCCHC standards
- Conduct site visits, audits, and performance evaluations
- Manage staffing, scheduling, and coverage needs
- Monitor patient care quality and implement improvements
- Collaborate with facility leadership and corporate teams
- Participate in on-call rotation and assist with coverage as needed
- Work performed in correctional healthcare settings
- Approximately 40% travel between assigned facilities (overnight required)
