Position Summary

The Regional Director of Health Services (RDHS) is primarily responsible for overseeing the daily clinical operations of multiple senior living communities by supporting the community licensed clinicians through quality, compliance and clinical activities in alignment with state and/or federal senior living regulations. The RDHS drives quality care that is consistent with company and regulatory standards.

Position Functions and Responsibilities

  • Assists with overseeing community nursing staff for the provision of quality and appropriate resident / patient care that meets or exceeds company and regulatory standards and aligns with company Safe at Home and Complete Senior Living models.
  • Schedules and performs in-person community visits to monitor and evaluate the quality and appropriateness of clinical/health care.
  • Supports community Director of Health Services/Director of Nursing by identifying and providing resources to ensure adequate staffing and clinical/health operational resources reflect the needs of the resident and patient population.
  • Provides mentorship and coaching to licensed community nurses as needed to support change initiatives, professional and personal growth and development.
  • Organizes and supports routine compliance and quality initiatives at communities to support community leaders in preparation for surveys without deficiencies.
  • Participates in and/or leads quality, compliance or clinical/health initiatives at the regional or community level.
  • Participates in regional and other clinical/health meetings and disseminates information to ensure alignment with organization standards at the community-level.
  • Supports through continuous monitoring, auditing and collaboration nursing care in accordance with company guidelines and standards of practice.
  • Collects, reviews, and analyzes clinical outcome data and determines trends. Brings identified concerns to appropriate community or organization stakeholders for development of appropriate plans of action.
  • Collaborates with regional directors of operations, sales and marketing and other collaborative partners to identify and provide unified community-specific support and resources.
  • Completes audits, licensed and unlicensed personnel training, and other duties as assigned by Senior Director of Clinical Operations.
    • May require occasional on-call coverage.

    Qualifications
    Education
    • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with current RN licensure in the state, Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
    • Minimum of 4 years of experience in health care industry with Home Care, SNF and/or AL experience preferred.

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
    • Multi-facility management experience preferred.
    • Must be able to relate professionally, positively, and cooperatively with residents, resident's families and employees.
    • Must possess proficient computer skills, including email use.
    • Must be capable of maintaining regular attendance.
    • Ability to travel throughout Minnesota and Wisconsin 50% of time.

    3. The employee regularly (67-100% of the time) lifts, moves, carries, pushes and/or pulls up to 10 pounds, and occasionally (up to 33% of the time) pushes and/or pulls up to 25 pounds.

    Work Environment
    • Office work is performed in a professional business office environment, well lit, clean, and hazard-free.
    • Office equipment is kept in good operating condition to enable work to be done efficiently.

    • Willingness to work beyond normal working hours and in other positions temporarily when necessary.
