Full Job Description
The Regional Director of Construction is responsible for the overall deployment, new construction development and performance refinement of the defined area and projects; including all verticals of the business.

Duties / Responsibilities:
  • Oversees and directs construction projects and associated staff, from conception to completion.
  • Drives increasing performance goals through the effective management of its staff; focusing on service delivery, KPIs and third-party relationships.
  • Accountable for meeting the financial goals of the projects assigned through the development and expansion of the management of operating expenses, personnel, managing capital costs within approved budgets, facilitating new projects, meeting or exceeding projected Launch timeframes, controlling company assets and preventing loss.
  • Develop the assigned projects within the vision of the company.
  • Responsible for ensuring appropriate staffing levels by recruiting, training, developing, guiding and enrichment of the employees assigned on the project, whether direct reports or dotted line reports.
  • Collaborate with key department leaders to implement and meet company standards and requirements for the operation of the business.
  • Review the new project in-depth with contracts team to schedule deliverables and estimate costs.
  • Develop, Implement and administer operational policies and procedures for facility safety and security and asset protection.
  • Enforce compliance of staff, tenants and visitors with policies, procedures, safety rules and governmental regulations; to include but not limited to proper safety equipment, attire and all OSHA rules and regulations.
  • Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors.
  • Ensure purchase orders are issued in a timely manner.
  • Analyze, manage and mitigate risks.
  • Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones.
  • Review the work progress on a daily basis.
  • Create and lead bi-weekly status reports/meetings including sales penetration and construction timelines.
  • Investigate any incidents and accidents and submit required reports.
  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
  • Associate's Degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum five (5) years of telecommunications/wireless construction experience.
  • Minimum of eight (8) years in a similar construction leadership role.
  • Experience and knowledge with construction management process, outside plant (aerial & underground), site acquisition and permitting.
  • Knowledge of budget development and execution.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and or building as-builds.
  • Knowledge of telco, power, fiber, basic construction, vendor equipment requirements.
  • Ability and willingness to work a flexible full time schedule that may include weekends, evenings and holidays.
  • Must have active and clean, non-restrictive, state issued driver's license in State where hired.
