Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 5 years of relevant experience; more experience may substitute for degree.
• U.S. Citizenship with eligibility for CBP Public Trust clearance.
• Current residency in the Buffalo, NY area.
• Understanding of construction techniques for cabling and the ability to read construction documents.
• Solid grasp of Project Management principles and good time-management skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Familiar with mobile tools for job performance.
• Knowledge of basic electrical wiring principles, low voltage only.
• Proficient in signal cabling testing and termination, including CAT 6 and coaxial.
• Experience with Fiber cabling testing, termination, and splicing.

Responsibilities

• Manage and perform IT equipment installations at various border points.
• Oversee and coordinate with electrical contractors for site modifications.
• Document and track the progression of installation work.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues as they arise.
• Identify and address risks during installations timely.
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of deployed IT solutions.
• Comply with IT Security and operations security policies.
• Work independently in various weather conditions in the field.
• Provide surge support for fix work in Buffalo when not deployed.
• Build and maintain relationships with Customs and Border Protection personnel.
