Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am - 5pm

Salary: $90,000 - $97,000 / year

If you're an experienced hospice RN who is energized by teaching, mentoring, and raising the bar for clinical practice, this is your role.

What You'll Do

As Clinical Educator, you'll be a key member of the corporate clinical team; developing, implementing, and overseeing standardized education and competency programs across our multistate organization. You'll travel to branches, support new hires, close clinical practice gaps, and serve as a trusted resource for interdisciplinary teams from novice to expert. Your responsibilities include:

Education & Training
  • Supporting the onboarding and field training of new clinical team members across branch locations
  • Acting as a mentor who guides individual staff development from novice to expert
  • Teaching patients, families, and caregivers about disease processes, self-care techniques, medications, and diet as ordered
  • Developing teaching aids and educational materials that promote learning for both staff and patients/families
  • Evaluating the effectiveness of educational experiences to drive ongoing professional development and quality outcomes
  • Assessing educational needs and addressing clinical practice gaps in partnership with regional and local leadership
  • Aligning training initiatives with organizational goals, CMS regulations, Conditions of Participation, and hospice best practices

Leadership & Collaboration
  • Serving as a visible clinical resource and role model across multiple agencies and states
  • Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, Administrators, and Executive Directors to develop agency goals and objectives
  • Demonstrating creativity and critical thinking in the development of patient care plans
  • Supporting audit readiness, regulatory compliance, and quality outcomes across all branches
  • Functioning independently, organizing assignments for maximum productivity across a multistate territory
  • Providing field support during staffing needs as determined by the Chief Nursing Officer
  • Travel required >70%

What You Bring
  • BSN preferred; RN licensure in primary state of assignment required, with ability to obtain licensure in additional states (compact licensure accepted where applicable)
  • C.H.P.N. (Certified Hospice and Palliative Nurse) certification preferred
  • 5+ years of general nursing experience preferred; pain and symptom management experience a plus
  • Minimum 2 years of hospice experience required
  • Strong ability to teach, train, and mentor clinical staff across experience levels
  • Excellent observation, assessment, nursing judgment, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within an interdisciplinary setting
  • Valid driver's license with reliable transportation; ability to travel 75%+ of the time
  • Genuine passion for hospice care and a commitment to continuous clinical excellence
