What You'll DoThe Regional Director of Care coordinates and manages the nursing function across Wallick senior living communities in accordance with federal, state, local, and company guidelines to help assure the highest degree of resident care is maintained. This regional clinical leader supports Directors of Care, clinical quality, compliance, education, and proactive resident-care strategies across communities. Up to 75% travel may be required.
- Support the successful implementation and maintenance of clinical and quality initiatives and protocols for use within the communities.
- Provide mentoring and clinical instruction to site-level Directors of Care, and assist with the training and onboarding of new Directors of Care to ensure understanding of policies, procedures, standards, and protocols.
- Provide oversight of nursing-department compliance and help ensure all aspects of clinical services are delivered in accordance with state and federal guidelines, including ODH, OSHA, REAC, and local Health Department requirements.
- Conduct mock surveys and audits of resident-assessment timeliness and accuracy at each community as needed.
- Provide advice and counsel to communities and Operational management on Quality Assurance and Risk Management matters.
- Support and direct Directors of Care in developing proactive resident-care strategies designed to improve resident retention.
- Plan and participate in educational programs and in-service schedules to help ensure communities receive training and education required by the state and needed by the communities.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
What We're Looking ForYou are an experienced nursing clinician or clinical leader who can communicate effectively across communities, use sound judgment in complex situations, and provide steady guidance to Directors of Care, vendors, residents, family members, and internal teams.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a nursing clinician or leadership role.
- Ohio Registered Nurse license required.
- BSN preferred; an equivalent amount of education and experience will be considered.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 75%, including travel to and from external business activities and Wallick communities.
- Ability to communicate appropriately and effectively with the workforce, vendors, residents, and family members.
- Ability to make complex decisions requiring a high degree of analytical skill and judgment; decisions may affect internal departments as well as the communities.
- Ability to work primarily indoors in an office setting, including extensive sitting and computer use, with reasonable accommodation as needed.
- Ability to perform occasional lifting, bending, and stooping associated with transferring files and supporting events or community activities.
