About the Role

The Regional Clinical Business Development Manager (RCBDM) is responsible for identifying, developing, and executing new business opportunities within their assigned region. This role focuses on building and strengthening relationships with key referral sources and organizations, developing a regional KOL network, and creating data-driven strategies to accelerate revenue growth. The RCBDM will collaborate closely with the Academy, Marketing, and Sales teams to drive new product and business model launches while supporting sales initiatives alongside Area Managers and other stakeholders. Additionally, this position will monitor key performance indicators, ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, and provide the regional voice of the customer to guide long-term strategic initiatives and cross-functional projects.

What You'll Do
  • New Business Growth: Having regional responsibility for new product and business model launches, identify and pursue new clients and partnerships, drive new product adoption, and convert lost business while building a customer base within the region.
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, such as physicians, practice administrators, hospitals and other healthcare organizations, to develop referral pipelines, including those at key regional fellowship sites.
  • Strategy and Analysis: Analyze regional market data to identify opportunities and threats, develop and implement growth strategies, and evaluate the feasibility of new launches.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including sales, marketing, and academy, to ensure business development initiatives are aligned with overall company goals.
  • Performance Tracking: Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to partnerships, revenue, and market expansion, and report on progress to senior leadership.
  • Clinical Expertise: Maintain high degree of knowledge and expertise in the areas of:
    • Acute MSK injury mechanism, management, surgery and rehabilitation.
    • Chronic MSK conditions, conservative management, surgical interventions and rehabilitation.
  • Assist in definition of product pipeline as member of product council. Including but not limited to: New Product Development, Product/Technology acquisitions and distribution.
  • Assist in tactical deployment of marketing, launch, rollover, discontinuation, sales enablement, and customer experience.
  • Supports strategic expansion, market intelligence and voice of customer across region.
  • Identify opportunities for campaigns, services, and distribution channels that will lead to an increase in sales in region.
  • Using knowledge of the market and competitors, identify and develop the company's unique selling propositions and differentiators.
  • Present to and consult with VP, B&S, on business trends with a view to developing new services, products, and channel opportunities
  • Create and execute new product launch plans/strategies within region and prepare post-launch reporting
  • Build and engage Key Opinion Leaders for local, regional, and national peer interactions
  • Engage and lead education events with key fellowship sites within region
  • Responsible for driving relationships and engagement initiatives with key societies within region.
  • Ensure all activities adhere to company policies, procedures, and relevant healthcare laws and regulations, such as HIPAA & Advamed
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and regulations.
  • Up to 65% travel.
  • Effectively and efficiently organizes account priorities and activities.
  • Submits accurate and timely reports to include expenses.
  • Exercises good judgment in the use of company funds.
  • Complies with both the spirit and letter of applicable laws and regulations.
  • Maintains a professional image and demeanor consistent with the image of Össur.
  • Carries out all responsibilities in an honest, ethical and professional manner.
  • Responsible for maintaining confidentiality of company data including new product information, marketing strategies, discount programs, pricing information and other business proprietary information.

Who You Are
  • Bachelor's degree required; clinical certification strongly preferred in orthotics, physical therapy, athletic training, or a related discipline.
  • 8+ years relevant sales experience within the orthopedic field with proven ability to develop relationships and grow referral networks
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems for managing activities and data analysis is expected
  • Ability / Experience in building business cases for investments, acquisitions, or new product development
  • Skilled in working with different functions and effectively coordinates their activities to achieve desired results.
  • Excellent listening skills, including the ability to identify and isolate customers concerns or objections, in addition to excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Enthusiastic about new technology and its transformational abilities
  • Ability to be productive in a globally distributed team through self-discipline and self-motivation.
  • Computer proficiency in Word, Excel, PPT, PowerBI and Outlook.
  • PowerBI experience is required.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $92,781 - $142,785 + bonus + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
