Chemours is seeking a
Regional Buyer to join our team. This position will be available at our
New Johnsonville, TN location.
The Regional Buyer is the primary procurement execution partner for assigned operating sites and serves as the "voice of the customer" within the Procurement organization. This role manages day-to-day purchasing execution, coordinates with suppliers, and supports category strategies to ensure continuity of supply, commercial compliance, and timely sourcing support for site and category stakeholders.
The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:- Support development and execution of site procurement plans aligned to business/category strategies, including maintaining historical and spend data, setting targets, monitoring compliance, and supporting supplier performance reviews.
- Execute leveraged sourcing events in partnership with Category Managers and business representatives; support contract award, documentation, and implementation planning.
- Support total cost of ownership (TCO) initiatives and help track year-over-year savings, cost avoidance, and working capital improvements for assigned categories/sites.
- Support site Maintenance, Operations, and Engineering teams with purchase requisitions, sourcing guidance, and supplier engagement.
- Serve as a liaison among sites, suppliers, Category Managers, and procurement leadership to ensure alignment and timely issue resolution.
- Support supplier onboarding, performance tracking, and compliance with Global Procurement Policy and site requirements.
- Identify and escalate supply risks, service issues, and commercial concerns to Category Managers as appropriate.
- Conduct basic spend analysis and data reviews to support sourcing decisions and opportunity identification.
- Contribute to procurement transformation initiatives that shift work from tactical buying to strategic site procurement models.
- Drive continuous improvement through coordination with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

The following is required for this role:- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance, Economics, or Business Administration (or 5 years of relevant experience in lieu of a bachelor's degree)
- 3-5+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain, operations, or a related commercial role supporting manufacturing or operations
- Experience supporting multiple sites or regional operations
- Exposure to category management, contract administration, or supplier performance management
- Demonstrated experience working in an industrial environment
- Proficiency with personal computers and the MS Office Suite (including Power BI); advanced Excel skills preferred
- Demonstrated leadership potential
- Experience with Ariba and SAP preferred
- Strong communication skills, including planning, active listening, and negotiation
- Ability to support change management and continuous improvement
- Resourceful, with the ability to make sound commercial decisions under pressure using relevant evidence and good judgment
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management; strong cross-functional collaboration and a team-player mindset

$85,801.00 - $134,064.00
