Description The Regional Business Director (RBD) is a key commercial leadership role responsible for building and leading a high-performing team focused on the successful launch and commercialization of the customer's portfolio. Reporting to the National Project Director, the RBD will lead Key Account Managers and Associate Account Managers across a defined geography, driving execution within community-focused/large practice networks, and infusion centers at a regional level for the launch of key products in the oncology, rheumatology, and/or immunology therapeutic areas. The successful candidate will play a critical role in shaping commercial strategy and driving access, adoption, and growth for upcoming biosimilar and future innovative biologic therapies.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead account management team focused on community-focused/large practice networks, infusion centers, and other key healthcare stakeholders.
- Recruit and hire team of Key Account Managers for designated territories within an assigned geography.
- Lead, motivate, and direct team, ensuring that they are appropriately trained in product knowledge, contracting, market conditions, brand strategy and tactics, corporate policies, and targeted business planning.
- Design and implement short and long-term business plans intended to achieve commercial objectives and drive sales revenue with targeted accounts for their areas.
- Achieve promotional objectives through execution management of specific marketing strategies.
- Support strategic account planning and pull-through initiatives that optimize product access and utilization.
- Partner with internal and external stakeholders to identify opportunities, address barriers, and accelerate adoption of customer's therapies.
- Ensure effective execution of customer-facing strategies that enhance relationships with community-focused/large practice networks and infusion centers.
- Work with leadership to establish appropriate behaviors that will lead to sales growth acceleration in the geographic area.
- Establish and manage district expense budgets; ensure appropriate return on investment.
- Manage and evaluate field performance on an ongoing basis and implement corrective/developmental actions as needed. Conduct annual performance appraisals, Field Coaching Reports, and Year End calibration.
- Provide verbal and written guidance, coaching, follow up, and development of field professionals in all phases of their work.
- Conduct ongoing discussions and provide appropriate documentation to ensure compliance and adherence to program and legal guidelines. Establish and manage regional budgets and resources to maximize return on investment.
- Monitor key performance indicators and implement corrective actions and development strategies as needed.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with market access, marketing, medical affairs, training, operations, and commercial leadership teams.
Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum 7 years of pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or life sciences sales experience.
- Minimum 3-5 years of sales leadership experience, preferably within institutional, specialty, biologics, oncology, immunology, rheumatology, or hospital-based environments.
- Demonstrated success recruiting, developing, and leading high-performing sales and account management teams.
- Proven experience executing complex account-based business strategies community-based/large practice networks and infusion centers.
- Product launch leadership experience in hospital, specialty, or institutional settings.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to analyze market dynamics and drive commercial results.
- Exceptional communication, coaching, leadership, and team-building skills.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel extensively (approximately 80%).
The annual base salary for this position ranges from $225,000 to $235,000. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high of the Syneos Health range for this position. Actual salary will vary based on various factors such as the candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. In addition, some positions may include eligibility to earn commissions/bonus based on company and / or individual performance.
