The Opportunity:

Tetra Tech's team is looking for a dynamic and experienced Regional Business Development Leader who thrives on building meaningful relationships and strengthening our presence across Texas. Essential Functions:

As Regional Business Development Leader, you will take the lead in building strong client relationships and driving meaningful outreach initiatives across Texas. Partnering closely with the VP of Business Development, as well as the local/regional business development and operations staff, you will shape and execute a strategic community engagement plan that strengthens Tetra Tech's presence in Central Texas and throughout the state.
  • Lead outreach efforts to enhance visibility and foster lasting partnerships with clients and community stakeholders.
  • Serve as Client Manager for regional city and county projects, ensuring consistent communication and relationship growth.
  • Plan and track engagement activities, including community events, conferences, and meetings, positioning Tetra Tech for ongoing pursuits.
  • Manage and monitor an annual engagement budget, developed collaboratively with the VP of Business Development.


Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Communication, or related field (Master's preferred).
  • 15+ years of experience in the municipal engineering sector with a focus on client engagement and relationship-building.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to deliver compelling client presentations and prepare clear, persuasive reports.
  • Demonstrated success in securing and executing profitable client assignments and developing key accounts.
  • Proven collaborator with the ability to partner across disciplines and deliver innovative, client-focused solutions.


Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods of sitting and working at a computer.
  • Frequent use of a computer, phone, and other standard office equipment.
  • Ability to travel by car or air as required to attend client meetings, conferences, and industry events.
  • Occasional standing, walking, and lifting or carrying materials weighing up to 25 pounds (e.g., presentation materials, trade show displays, or luggage).


Work Environment / Environmental Factors:
  • Work is performed primarily in an office, home office, or client environment.
  • Regular travel to client sites, industry conferences, networking events, and Tetra Tech offices throughout the region.
  • Occasional visits to active project sites may be required. Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided and required when visiting construction or industrial facilities.
  • Work may involve extended periods of travel and occasional evening or weekend attendance at business development events.
