The Opportunity:

Tetra Tech is adding a Regional Asset Management Lead to our Asset Management team based in Houston Texas.

Position Summary:

The Regional Asset Management Lead is a market-facing, billable leadership role responsible for growing and delivering Tetra Tech's asset management services across Texas. The role develops client relationships, converts opportunities into revenue, and leads utility and municipal assignments involving asset management, AMI, meter-to-cash, lifecycle planning, analytics, and EAM/CMMS readiness. Working across Tetra Tech, the Regional Lead integrates engineering, GIS, digital, and operational expertise while mentoring teams and delivering practical, data-driven client solutions.

Essential Job Functions:

• Lead implementation of the national Asset Management Practice strategy across the region, aligning priorities with IEW and Tetra Tech business objectives.
• Own the regional growth plan, including priority accounts, market development, pipeline, backlog, utilization, revenue, and profitability.
• Build trusted relationships with municipal, utility, transportation, and other public-sector clients and position Tetra Tech as a strategic asset management advisor.
• Identify, qualify, and convert regional opportunities, leading capture strategies, proposals, scopes, budgets, and client presentations.
• Provide strategic oversight of regional asset management programs, ensuring quality, commercial performance, schedule, risk, and client outcomes.
• Grow and oversee services including asset management planning, AMI optimization, meter-to-cash, lifecycle and risk-based planning, business process improvement, analytics, and EAM/CMMS implementation.
• Coordinate senior resources and multidisciplinary teams across engineering, GIS, digital, analytics, operations, and program management.
• Establish consistent regional tools, methodologies, governance, quality controls, and delivery processes aligned with national practice standards.
• Develop scalable, data-driven solutions using portfolio analysis, predictive modeling, machine learning, GIS, and decision-support technologies.
• Monitor and report regional practice performance, opportunities, delivery risks, and resource needs to national practice and operating unit leadership.
• Recruit, manage, and mentor senior and emerging professionals, supporting capability development, succession planning, and team growth.
• Represent the regional practice in client meetings, industry forums, and professional organizations while contributing to national thought leadership and market development.

Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, program management, public administration, information systems, data science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 12 years of experience in asset management, infrastructure consulting, utility operations, portfolio management, or a related field, including regional growth and client leadership responsibilities.
• Demonstrated success developing client relationships, converting opportunities, and delivering billable consulting services for municipal, utility, transportation, or other public-sector clients.
• Experience providing strategic and commercial oversight of multidisciplinary programs involving asset management, AMI, analytics, GIS, lifecycle planning, business process improvement, or EAM/CMMS implementation.
• Proven ability to lead and mentor senior resources, facilitate executive stakeholders, and communicate effectively through proposals, reports, workshops, and presentations.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and execute regional business plans, manage financial performance, and align local delivery priorities with national practice objectives.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Master's degree or MBA, or a recognized asset management or project management credential such as IAM, ISO 55000, or PMP.
• Experience with AMI strategy and optimization, meter-to-cash assessments, utility data analytics, or digital transformation programs.
• Knowledge of portfolio analysis, statistical and predictive modeling, machine learning, GIS integration, data governance, and Python.
• Experience developing business cases, implementation roadmaps, executive workshops, and organizational transformation initiatives.
