Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Region Manager Ambulatory Risk Management Loss Prevention, you will be responsible for administering risk management and loss prevention activities in the California Region under the direction of the California Region Director, Ambulatory Patient Safety and Risk Mgmt. This position supports all Physician Enterprise ambulatory facilities in the Region by assisting the Region Director with developing, implementing and assessing the effectiveness of Region-wide programs.

Every day you will will assist leaders in identifying and mitigating key risks and loss drivers across multiple domains to protect the tangible and intangible assets of the organization.

To be successful in this role, you will have superior communication skills, a strong working knowledge of clinical processes, loss prevention, and quality processes, as well as a history of managing complex projects to success.

As a remote employee, we will provide you with the equipment needed to work from home, including a laptop, docking station, dual monitors, and accessories.

This position is remote for California residents. Onsite visits may be required, as needed.

  • Evaluating unexpected outcomes for potential liability. Developing, evaluating, and communicating assigned risk management program components and tasks to appropriate stakeholders.
  • Ensuring timely internal reporting of claims. Assisting internal and external stakeholders with information gathering and claim management. Representing the organization during claim resolution process as requested.
  • Managing the collection of and analysis of risk management data to identify risk trends, develop and implement loss prevention initiatives, and evaluate effectiveness of loss prevention strategies.
  • Conducting risk management continuing education programs for Ambulatory locations.
  • Assisting in evaluation of operational policies, procedures, and processes for loss prevention opportunities. Serving as a risk consultant to internal customers to prevent or minimize loss.


Job Requirements

Required
  • Four to six (4-6) years working in healthcare with knowledge of clinical processes
  • Bachelors degree in healthcare related field
  • Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Mgmt (CPHRM) within 12 months of hire
  • Ability to understand and evaluate information in medical records
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
  • Analyze and communicate complex loss trends data to a broad audience
  • Implement the strategic plan while paying attention to details
  • Strong working knowledge of loss prevention, quality processes and managing complex projects to success
  • Communicate effectively, with ease, to all levels of the organization

Preferred
  • One to three (1-3) years Healthcare Risk Management experience preferred
  • Previous experience with data and trends analysis preferred
  • Masters or Doctorate degree preferred
