What You Will Do:
  • Ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of Propane refrigeration and station equipment while adhering to company and regulatory requirements.
  • Support commissioning, startup, shutdown, and emergency operations.
  • Monitor, operate, inspect, and troubleshoot compressors, prime movers, valves, auxiliary equipment, and station systems to support uninterrupted operations.
  • Respond to equipment malfunctions, emergencies, and operational incidents, taking appropriate action to protect people, assets, and the environment.
  • Develop and execute maintenance job plans and PM activities.
  • Perform maintenance activities, complete operational documentation, and maintain accurate records and reporting requirements.
  • Review and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and system documentation to support maintenance and operational activities.
  • Collaborate with operations, maintenance, contractors, and other stakeholders to optimize equipment performance and minimize downtime.
  • Provide technical guidance, coaching, and knowledge sharing to less experienced employees and support field work planning activities.
  • Performs all duties as assigned.

Who You Are:
  • High school diploma or equivalent with a valid driver's license and safe driving record.
  • Minimum of five years of directly related experience in industrial refrigeration.
  • Strong working knowledge of propane refrigeration, station, and operational equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair practices.
  • Demonstrated technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions in a field environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and the ability to complete operational reports and documentation accurately.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Proven commitment to safety, regulatory compliance, and safe work practices.

Preferred:
  • Experience providing technical guidance, coaching, or mentoring to junior employees.
  • Experience coordinating the work of contractors or small field crews.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Ideal Candidate Profile:
  • The ideal candidate will have experience operating or maintaining industrial refrigeration systems, large rotating equipment, compressors, or hydrocarbon process facilities. Candidates with RETA certifications, refrigeration licensing, propane processing experience, LNG/NGL experience, or Process Safety Management exposure will be strongly preferred. This role requires a highly disciplined technician who can safely support a high-consequence process involving large propane inventory and critical pipeline infrastructure.

Working Conditions:
  • Position is primarily field-based and involves outdoor work with periodic office activities for meetings, training, and documentation.
  • Must be willing and able to work overtime, on-call rotations, standby assignments, weekends, shift schedules, and overnight travel as business needs require.
  • Must reside within, or be willing to relocate within, 30 miles of the assigned reporting location.
  • Frequent exposure to varying weather conditions and industrial work environments.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work, including standing, walking, climbing ladders, entering excavations, kneeling, reaching, and lifting materials or equipment up to 50 pounds.
  • Safety Critical and Safety Sensitive position requiring strict adherence to safety policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.

Physical Requirements include but are not limited to:

Include but are not limited to Grasping, kneeling, light-moderate lifting (objects up to 50 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read the fine print), hearing requirement. Mobility to walk in outdoor conditions that occasionally involve uneven and slippery terrain and to enter and exit excavations. Agility can ascend and descend ladders, scaffolding, ramps, poles, and other devices using feet, legs, and/or hands and arms.

Ability to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone.

Base Salary:
  • Base salary ranges from $38.00 - $48.50 per hour USD for US locations based upon candidate's experience, skills, and internal equity.
  • Applicable compensation policies and guidelines apply to internal candidates.
