Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required; higher education preferred.
  • 1-2 years of relevant Recreation or Youth Programming experience.
  • At least one year of lead or supervisory experience required.
  • Experience with municipal, county, state, or federal government preferred.
  • Familiarity with DES, DHS, and/or Licensing Day Care Programs is a plus.
  • Proven ability to manage or supervise staff, regardless of their full or part-time status.
  • Must be able to work outdoors year-round, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning and executing recreational programs and events.
  • Supervise and lead staff and volunteers at various activities.
  • Ensure safety and well-being of participants during events.
  • Manage outdoor activities effectively in varying conditions.
  • Maintain equipment and facilities to ensure cleanliness and safety.
  • Communicate with parents and community members regarding programming details.
  • Monitor participation levels and gather feedback for program improvement.
