The Opportunity:
Join our dynamic team as a Mission Support Specialist. In this pivotal role, you will lead, guide, and ensure the accountability of a 24/7/365 team responsible for monitoring ground equipment and services scheduled by users within an automated planning and scheduling system. Your responsibilities will include evaluating mission execution, seeking improvements and efficiencies, coordinating operational standards, working closely with crew leads on team member certification, and managing cross-system training programs.
Responsibilities:
The Mission Support Specialist is responsible for a specific skill set such as CI/HUMINT, SIGINT, MASINT, IMINT, ELINT, All Source, Targeting, Cyber, Financial, collection requirements, and various mission support systems. This role serves as the bridge between Collectors and the mission support consumer, guiding mission support collection and dissemination.
Key Responsibilities:
- Integrate skill and operational capabilities to respond to the concept of operations.
- Support Operations Officers in the full cycle of mission support collection operations, including mission analysis, concept development, plan development, execution support, and assessments of mission success.
- Certify and gain a deep understanding of all mission systems.
- Ensure the team is prepared to support system testing after upgrades and during maintenance activities.
- Train team members on mission systems to ensure they are proficient and up-to-date with the latest procedures and technologies.
- Monitor system performance to respond to event notifications and determine appropriate courses of action.
- Provide quality control and technical input for problem reports or discrepancy reports created by the operations team.
- Investigate and rectify procedural discrepancies by supporting remedial training, updating operational or engineering procedures, and creating/maintaining current operator working aids.
- Identify areas for process improvement and foster an environment where operations team members are empowered to propose enhancements.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Experience in a real-time operations environment or real-time watch operations support.
- Knowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects of satellite communications.
- Understanding of Radio Frequency spectrums and their utilization, acquisition, and correction.
- Understanding of operating complex satellite infrastructure and satellite communication systems.
- Networking experience.
- Self-motivated with the ability and desire to learn complex systems with minimal direction.
- Routine interaction with multiple customers.
- Solid written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

The proposed salary range for this position is:
$94,400 - $198,200
