Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and negotiate real estate contracts for transactions across both residential and commercial sectors.
  • Conduct title examinations, resolve title issues, and ensure timely clearance with title companies.
  • Schedule, prepare for, and attend closings, representing both buyers and sellers.
  • Prepare and file deeds and related documents via ACRIS, ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Represent lenders in loan transactions, including the preparation of Closing Disclosures and UCC filings.
  • Maintain clear communication with clients, brokers, and lenders to ensure a smooth transaction process.

Full Job Description
Position: Real Estate Attorney at Our Rego Park, NY Office

Salary: $130,000.00 - $135,000.00 Annually, Plus Bonuses

Employment Type: Full-time, Onsite, 5 Days a Week

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contract Review & Negotiation: Draft, review, and negotiate real estate contracts for residential and commercial transactions.
  • Title Review & Clearance: Conduct thorough title examinations, identify and resolve title issues, and coordinate with title companies to ensure timely clearance.
  • Closings: Schedule, prepare for, and attend closings; represent buyers and sellers throughout all phases of the transaction.
  • Deed Transfers & ACRIS Preparation: Prepare and file deeds and related documents via ACRIS and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Lender Representation: Represent financial institutions in connection with loan transactions, including preparation of Closing Disclosures (CDs), recognition agreements, and UCC filings.
  • Client Communication: Maintain ongoing communication with clients, brokers, lenders, and other involved parties to ensure smooth and efficient transactions.


Qualifications:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree and admission to the New York State Bar (required).
  • Minimum of 3+ years of relevant real estate law experience, with substantial exposure to both residential and commercial transactions.
  • Strong knowledge of title, contract law, and closing procedures.
  • Excellent negotiation, drafting, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple files efficiently and independently in a fast-paced environment
