Description:
Ensures that the evaluation of Radiology procedures, equipment, and staff are administered in a fashion that is accurate, timely, responsive, and reliable.
Customers served include employees, medical staff, patients, and regulatory agencies.
Priority will be given to activities that directly affect customer service.
Demonstrates the ability to perform routine portable and fluoroscopic procedures, as well as operating room procedures, as requested by referring physicians.
Provides all required documentation on requisition.
Establishes effective communication with referring physicians, radiologists, ancillary departments, and customers to ensure quality patient care is rendered.
Ensures proper safety procedures are met, and radiation safety practices are adhered to according to ALARA principles.
Demonstrates a working knowledge of information service systems.
Provides patient education and thorough documentation to ensure the best quality of care for all patient needs.
Adheres to appropriate and accepted clinical principles, methods, and procedures while performing or supervising imaging and radiologic diagnostic procedures.
Complies with all hospital policies and procedures pertaining to incident reporting.
Performs other related duties as required.
