The WorkSuccessful candidate will:
• Lead and perform RF/Microwave analyses, design solutions and solve development problems across multiple platforms.
• Contribute to technical planning, System development and design, requirements decomposition and allocation, detailed trade studies, design verification and validation, cost and risk, testability, and manufacturability.
• Support top level architecture design, mission planning, requirements decomposition and traceability.
• Lead development and maturation of RF designs efforts through entire program lifecycle.
• Interface with subject matter experts and providers of various subsystem products and technologies.
• Provide RF manufacturing support including assembly and test and automated test system designs.
• Perform cascade analyses, modeling, simulation, troubleshooting, and test of various RF Subsystems, circuits, and components.
• Self-sufficient RF Hardware Design Engineer who can work under general direction and independently determine and develop approaches to solutions and lead team throughout full design cycles.
• Collaborate through effective communication skills with interdisciplinary teams, cross-Business Areas and customers to appropriately communicate status and results.
Architects and designs Radio Frequency systems and circuitry. Designs and develops RF circuitry used in high frequency and microwave applications, including receivers, transmitters, antennas, and frequency synthesizers. Responsible for hardware layout, component evaluation, prototype construction, and test. Prepares test methods and specifications; analyzes and tests RF hardware to verify performance characteristics. Provides inputs to Product Development for formal documentation and supports manufacturing during the deliverable assembly and test phase. In addition, develops RF System/Subsystem Architectures consisting of: antennas, transmitters, receivers, low noise amplifiers, high power amplifiers, RF conversion elements and transmission line equipment. Performs link analysis and optimization, including effects of propagation medium and possible interference sources. Develops and allocates RF system and subsystem functional and performance requirements. Identifies and tracks RF technical performance measurements (TPMs). Performs RF system/subsystem/component trade studies and CAIV analysis. Supports Life Cycle Costs, reliability, availability, and maintainability analysis.
Basic Qualifications- Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 9 years of professional experience; or 7 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree.
- Proficient in RF modeling and simulation.
- Understanding of RF/Microwave board design/cable design, construction, and shielding, including material selection.
- Proficiency with RF measurement techniques and equipment.
- Proficiency at developing the necessary RF/Microwave design artifacts to ensure product development compliance to all customer requirements.
- Experience leading multi-discipline development teams and demonstrated ability to manage cost and schedule.
- Ability to obtain & hold security clearance at the SECRET level.
Desired Skills- Proficiency in several of the Simulation tools HFSS (RF and Digital circuit simulation), CST, MW Studio, ADS, AWR Microwave Office, SystemVue, Zuken, and MATLAB/ LabVIEW.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills and proficiency with MS Office tools.
- Experience with RF Amplifiers, Filters, impedance matching and optimization. Experience with phased array radars and associated radiating element design. Experience leading board and assembly designs; Exciter/Receiver, TR modules.
- Experience planning and leading design efforts.
Pay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $120600.00 - $224000.00

PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
