Overview

 

Make a difference in the lives of patients facing cancer and complex diagnoses as a Radiation Therapist at Community. In this rewarding role, you'll use advanced treatment technologies and your clinical expertise to deliver precise radiation therapy while providing compassionate, patient-centered care. Working closely with Radiation Oncologists and an interdisciplinary team, you'll help guide patients through their treatment journey while ensuring their safety, comfort and well-being every step of the way. 

 

Responsibilities

As part of a highly skilled oncology team, you will deliver prescribed radiation treatments, perform simulations and imaging procedures, monitor patients throughout treatment and contribute to quality and safety initiatives that support exceptional outcomes. You'll work in a collaborative environment that values professionalism, communication and continuous improvement while utilizing leading-edge technologies, including Linear Accelerators, CyberKnife and CT Simulation equipment. Qualifications

Education & Experience 

  • High School Diploma, High School Equivalency (HSE), or Completion of a CHS Approved Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Certificate required 
  • Completion of an AMA-approved Radiation Therapy Program required 

 

Licenses and Certifications 

  • CRT - State of California Certified Radiologic Technologist required 
  • ARRT(T) - ARRT Radiation Therapy required 
  • BLS - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) required
