Job Summary/Purpose:Provides first line supervision of Entergy full time and temporary Radiation Protection Operations personnel in a safe, productive manner. Supervises the daily RP Operations tasks including on shift activities. Manages multiple and possibly conflicting priorities.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:- Is proficient at managing a multi-disciplined group possibly including union and contractor oversight.
- Maintains an excellent understanding of the work management process.
- Functions as a team leader.
- Assists in the RP budget development and function within the budget.
- Communicates with all levels of the organization including representing the department at all meetings.
- Ensures assigned tasks are performed as safely and efficiently as possible.
- Proposes time saving tooling and work methods.
- Ensures all RP activities are performed within regulatory and procedural guidelines.
- Manages personnel and resolves employee conflict or concerns.
- Interfaces with other Entergy sites to maximize resource sharing of RP personnel.
- Interfaces with regulatory and industry representatives on behalf of station activities.
- Communicates technical Radiation Protection information, concepts, and ideas verbally and in writing.
- Participates in the shared resources program.
- Serves as a member of the Emergency Response Organization.
Minimum Requirements:Minimum

:- B.S. in Health Physics or related technical degree may be credited for 3 years of experience or equivalent work experience.

- Candidates for this position must meet requirements specified in ANSI/ANS Standards and Regulatory Guidelines.
- In addition, site Technical Specifications, FSAR, or procedures may contain additional requirements. Hiring Managers are required to submit attachment 9.1 from EN-HR-137 for any candidate selected for this job. ANSI Section 4.3.2 - Supervisors Not Requiring NRC Licenses: High School Diploma or equivalent. 4 years of experience in craft or discipline he/she supervises.
- At least 5 years of experience in RP Operations.

- Technical proficiency in the RP Operations area. Technical understanding of nuclear generation principles and operation. Proficiency with current computer business applications. The ANSI requirement (4.3.2)
