Responsibilities

  • Maintain the Quality Assurance System and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Assist in updating the new cloud-based Electronic Quality Management System (EQMS)
  • Conduct internal and external audits of processes and products
  • Help manage and maintain the quality system, including off-hour assignments
  • Oversee the calibration system and address process deviations
  • Report daily and monthly Quality Index information
  • Communicate product quality improvements to the workforce

Full Job Description
We are seeking a Quality Systems Coordinator to join our team in Pueblo, Colorado. The Quality Systems Coordinator at the rod mill maintains the Quality Assurance System including, but not limited to, recording and updating daily quality assurance and ISO [redacted], maintaining and disseminating claim information, customer database, test report database, scheduling and training records, job manuals, assisting with the safety documentation and training logs, and leading customer and certification audits for the mill.

  • Maintaining the SOPs which includes contacting/training the workforce when changes are made
  • Assist with updating and improving the new cloud based Electronic Quality Management System (EQMS) system at RMSM
  • Internal and external process and product audits
  • Helping with the daily management and maintenance of the quality system which can include assignments that may require off-hour or weekend work
  • Management of the calibration system, issuing and recording process deviations
  • Reporting daily and monthly Quality Index information
  • Helping to communicate information associated with product quality and improvements to the workforce

Requirements
  • Bachelors of Science Degree or equivalent experience; Metallurgy/Materials Engineering, Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office - Word and Excel
  • Proven written and verbal communication skills, including Quality Manual and Second-Tier Procedure Writing skills
  • Excellent planning, time management, and organizational skills
  • Strong problem-solving and proven decision-making skills
  • Initiative to identify areas, propose and initiate solutions
  • Two years of Quality Assurance experience, preferred
  • Familiar with Quality Management systems, preferred
  • Certified Quality Auditor, preferred
  • Experience in ISO 9001/Quality Systems, preferred

Compensation

$80,000 - $87,000
