Full Job Description
The Quality Plant Engineering leader is a direct report to the Quality Plant Engineering Manager. They lead the quality plant engineering team in charge of their perimeter. On their meta function perimeter, to guarantee the customer satisfaction including warranty results in field and the plant efficiency, they lead the supplier quality, the plant quality convergence and manages the product/process evolutions in serial life.

Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Daily Operational Production meetings with Quality Plant Engineering Manager and their team, control tower to deal with quality issues/production.
  • Weekly meetings with Supplier Quality Development, ENG/CCLP Cross Car Line & Project, MFG/VPE/GAPE
  • Convening of the site director's / quality managers of the most failing supplier sites. Meetings with suppliers.
  • The holder of this function must contribute to improving the quality level of new and customer vehicles in a context of ever more ambitious quality objectives.
  • Autonomous in the decision (or to lead if necessary) to modify the automotive product or the process to guarantee the quality of the vehicles.
  • Support the Quality Plant Engineering Manager to make decision to hold vehicles and market vehicles.
  • As soon as possible in order to avoid increasing outstanding rework area (issues on retouching costs and customer delivery time)
  • Define containment actions to apply for customer protection (including supplier Issues)
  • Do risk assessments and lead corrective action plans
  • Guarantee the product - process maturity of the components of his perimeter management of serial life (windows change management).
  • Propose alternative product solution in case of issues (as shortage) to avoid stopping mass production in the plant
  • Implementation of standards (Read Across)
  • Lead quality KPI management to achieve quality objectives, driving improvement/corrective actions and escalation
  • Resolution of systemic/chronic or major quality issues (Top Warranty, Recalls)
  • Technical support Yard Holds / Product Related Issues (PRI's) technical referent inside the PRI.
  • Set-up / On-going Controls for Process / product Standards for Vehicle & System Functional Objectives (i.e. ADAS, BSR, FEA)
  • Escalate as needed with Quality Plant Engineering Manager and/or Manager FQM of his Quality Meta Function
  • Ensure the landing of Serial Life Windows & evolutions/events Product including cost savings
  • Evaluate & Restore Hand-Over Profession ENG milestone to anticipate drift
  • Pilot points of change to implement actions necessary to secure flow


Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
  • 7+ years of relevant experience
  • Previous experience in an Engineering Department, Vehicle Plant or Project team
  • Ability to lead an Engineering team to deliver product changes and launches on time
  • Experience with Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and corrective actions
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal from Executive meetings to the Shop Floor
  • Ability to work off shift hours as necessary
  • Self-motivated and directed
  • Ability to thrive in a high intensity environment while working on multiple projects
  • High proficiency in verbal and written English
